Down here in Louisian we have a lot of floods.

In a recent one, man of God was told by the police that he was in danger and had to leave. He answered, " God is going to save me. I put my faith in Him." The police had to leave him.

When the flood waters got to his front door, the National Guard came by to save him. He gave them the same answer." God was just testing his faith".

When the water got to his roof, a boat came by to save him. His faith was still strong and he replied," God is going to save me." They had to leave him.

When the water got up to his neck a helicopter came by to save him. Again he refused because God was testing his faith and would rescue him.

He drowned.

When he stood in front of The Lord he questioned Him," Jesus, I put my faith in you and you let me drown. Why?"

Our Lord answered, "My child, I sent the police, the National Guard, a boat and a helicopter. What else could I do?"

The moral to this story is simple.

When we as children of God, ask Him for something stand back out of His way and let Him answer your prayer the way He wants. Many times we will pray for something and then tell God just how we want Him to answer our prayer.
